Robert "Rob" J. McGonagle

Beloved, Son Brother and Uncle

Walpole-Robert “Rob” James McGonagle, age 46, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was a resident of Walpole for the past two years, formerly of Foxborough and Medway.

Rob was born in Milton on April 9, 1965 and attended Medway Public Schools. He was a former owner and operator of McGonagle and Hayes Trucking, Inc. of Walpole.

Rob was a devoted son, brother and uncle. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed family gatherings, especially the annual family reunions. A devout Catholic, Rob was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough.

Rob was a New England sports enthusiast and an avid saltwater fisherman. He enjoyed going out to dinner with his family and friends and enjoyed playing KENO. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Beloved son of James J. McGonagle of Waltham and Nancy J. (Asmus) McGraw of Foxborough. Loving brother of John McGonagle of Pawtucket, RI, Karen and her husband David Tradd of Foxborough and Anthony McGonagle of Waltham. Devoted uncle of Ryan Tradd of Foxborough and Alex Tradd of Spain. Best friend of April O’Sullivan of Foxborough. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wed., April 11, from 4-7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter St. in Foxborough.
